The rules are simple. I ask Jenny some random questions. She replies and then I give my answers. Each winning answer is worth one point and I get to decide whose answer is better.

It’s my blog.

Here we go!

1. Favorite Regency Adaptation?

Jenny – As far as a period movie, my favorite is the BBC Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. I especially appreciate how it remains true to the book—and ya know, Colin Firth. I also love Clueless, a modern adaption of Emma.

Charity – Ok, I love you. So many people have said the new Pride and Prejudice and I want to shudder. Rest assured, I never grant them a point for such a blunder.

— Jenny gets a point for answering correctly! ha 🙂

2. Favorite place to travel?

Jenny – Anywhere around the Mediterranean. I love Southern Spain, Greece, Italy. The people are beautiful and friendly and of course the weather’s warm. Turquoise blue water, rich history and delicious food. I could live on feta cheese, tapas, and black olives. Mmm…

Charity – ❤ Oh my word. You are well traveled, missy!! I really love the Mediterranean too. I spent some time in Israel and fell absolutely in love.

3. Perfect Picnic?

Jenny – When I was a kid, my parents would go out of town and leave me and my siblings overnight with my grandparents. We had a fun tradition of driving through Wendy’s and going to Sugar House Park in SLC.SugarHousePark There was a place we found between a cluster of pine trees that we were sure nobody else knew about. My grandma brought blankeys to spread out, and in my memory we stayed for hours. It was like our own little world, shady, quiet, and just thinking about those times makes my heart warm.

Charity – Ok. I have no chance. That’s beautiful!!

— No contest.

4. What is your favorite cereal (yes, the one that you shouldn’t eat or ever admit to liking…)?

Jenny – Count Chocula!chocula People assume it’s the same as Cocoa Puffs, but that could not be farther from the truth. The marshmallows make it more chocolately, and the cereal is less crunchy, since it doesn’t have the same coating. I don’t like it too crunchy. My favorite way to eat it is with chocolate milk. Let the milk soak in and make the marshmallows soft and the cereal a little squishy, but not too soggy. And when the cereal’s all gone, you have extra chocolatey chocolate milk. Good think it’s not available all year or I’d probably have diabetes or weigh a thousand pounds.

Charity – Girl, you don’t have to sell me! I grew up eating that! yum yum! I really like Golden Grahams ❤

5. Have you ever been scuba diving?

Jenny – Nope—too clausterphobic. Plus, I don’t want a fish to touch me. Have you? And if you have, I hope you took lots of pictures. It sounds awesome—but scary.

Charity – Absolutely not. The ocean terrifies me. Although, I might do better if it was clear water. We live on the east coast (Virginia) and the water here is basically black. yuck. Can’t see what’s swimming around your legs!!

7. How do you strive to bring God the most glory in your life?

Jenny – First and foremost, I’m a mom to four boys. Teaching them good principals that will make them into God-fearing, righteous men is my highest priority. I also feel a huge responsibility to write books that uplift. Books that I wouldn’t feel embarrassed to have my grandma or a young kid read.

Charity – Nice. I hear ya. I am a mom to three boys and my goal is to win their hearts to God.

— God wins!!

8. What is your favorite clothing store?

Jenny – My favorite is, of course, Nordstrom. And if I could afford it, I’d have an entire wardrobe from there. But since I can’t, the one I shop at most often is probably Down East Clothing. I love their cute skirts and cardigans, and their jeans fit like a dream.

Charity – Ohhh…I love Charming Charlies because their stores are color coded ❤ ❤ And, to make it ever better, SUPER CHEAP!!

— So pretty, huh? I have to give myself that point. haha

9. Funniest movie?

Jenny – I don’t watch many movies. I’m more of a reader. But the first one that came to mind was The Mummy with Brendan Frasier. I love that show. Super cheesy and romantic and adorable. Plus, isn’t he so handsome?

Charity – I do love Brendan Frasier. He’s such a goober and adorable. One of my favorite movies is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

Jenny – Ok, my turn.

What’s your worst fear?—and not a real, legitimate fear like a loved one being in a car accident. One of those that makes no sense, and you have no reason to actually worry about it, like a zombie apocalypse or Big Foot, or something.

Mine is bears. When I was about 12,  I heard a man speak about being attacked by a grizzly bear and ever since, I’ve had nightmares about bears. When my family went to Yellowstone, I turned into a psycho. I was so scared that a bear would jump out of the woods while we were hiking. I drove everyone crazy, freaking out at every single noise. And it’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. My kids go to scout camp and before they leave, they say, “Yeah, mom, we know…Watch for bears.” And so far none of them have ever seen one. EVER. And neither have I. Except at the zoo.

Charity – haha! Oh, man! That’s a great question. Hmm. I guess mine is pretty funny too. When I was little, it was during the cold war and my mom was always talking about Russian Spies. I thought that they were everywhere. She told us that they had the names of all Christians and wouldn’t hesitate to take us out. hahahaha. Oh man. I am still scared of Russia to this day!!!!!! 😮

So fun, Jenny! Thank you!!!! il_570xN.321850012
