The Covered Deep

by Brandy Vallance

Covered-Deep-Large-AngledHow often does an author write their debut novel with such well deserved fanfare? Not often! Brandy Vallance explodes onto the the Christian Fiction scene with The Covered Deep. (Are you still stuck on the fact that I used the word “fanfare”? Me too!)

Bianca Marshal has won the adventure of a lifetime. Being chosen as one of four to go on a Holy Land excursion, she is ready to completely enjoy herself and, just maybe, fall in love. She finds that there is much more to being chosen than she originally thought. Her faith in God is put to the ultimate test and she must fight to forgive where forgiveness is most impossible.

I love the depth of scripture and faith in this book. So often, in a Christian romance, we find fleeting discussions of faith, but nothing of substance. This entire book is based around her faith and trust in God. It is also full of adventure, intrigue, romance, mystery and forgiveness. Please pick up a copy of this book, plus another for a Christmas gift! I have made it very simple. Just click here!!

Freebie For All!!

Hey, guys! Another freebie today! I just did a review on Judith Miller’s new book: The Brickmaker’s Bride. I have a free copy to give away on the post.

If you head on over to Amazon, you can check out this book that is co-written by her and Tracie Peterson. There are enough of these for everyone (;

The Brickmaker’s Bride

by Judith Miller

books-the-brickmakers-brideI’m going to be honest. This is the first book I have read by Judith Miller, which is surprising since she is known for both historical and Amish fiction.

Ewan McKay has moved from Ireland to West Virginia to make his life as the proprietor and manager of a brickyard. Laura Woodfield is invested in his brickyard and wants to do everything she can to help. What is a story without a bit of intrigue though? Of course, Laura has a “secret” that she knows will ruin her chances of love, so she is resolved to live life in a loveless marriage.

Usually a story has many ups and downs. You have huge calamities and make you wonder when and how things will work out. This book was an easy read because it was smooth. It was not going from one big catastrophe to the next. I also have to say that I was impressed with her knowledge of the history of brickmaking. She definitely did her research for this book!!

That being said, who wants to WIN A FREE COPY of this book? Just leave me a comment (WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS) in the comment section below. You may comment as a guest, just let me know how to get ahold of you in case you win (: I would also appreciate it if you would share this post to give others a chance to win.

Son of Hamas

by Mosab Hassan Yousef (with Ron Brackin)

son of hamas

Oh My Goodness. Let me just tell you that this is one of the most amazing books you will ever read. If you follow the news AT ALL, you have heard of the Hamas. They are responsible for many suicide bombings and other attacks that you have seen and heard about in Israel. This is the story of Sheikh Hassan Yousef’s son and heir to the Hamas legacy.

Sheikh was one of the founding fathers of the Hamas, and, by far, the most powerful. His son, Mosab, was expected to follow in his footsteps and lead this radical group. All was in place until he was shown the amazing love and mercy of Christ and begin to work and spy for Israel.

This is 100% true and will keep you wide awake while reading it at 2:00am (since most of us are mommies and that’s the first freakin’ second we have to ourselves).

While this is not a new release (copyright 2010, 2011), a movie, The Green Prince (based on the code name used by the Israelis), is coming to theaters and is a MUST SEE.

You can look at this website to find out when it is coming to a theater near you. If it isn’t, you can request it:

The Green Prince

In honor of the movie coming to theaters, I would love to give away a copy of this AMAZING book.
