I Will Find You

by Detective Lt. Joe Kenda

Let me start off with this:

Have you seen it yet? Ok, I haven’t either, but you can bet I’ll have watched it maybe even before you have a chance to read these words! This series is based on the life of Detective Lt. Joe Kenda and now you can also read the book for more insight into the world of “homicide hunting”.

Detective Kenda is a tough cop that solved a whopping 92% of his homicide investigations! That is unheard of and amazing. This book will take you through some of his most memorable moments on the force. It’s exciting, intense and makes me proud to have great men protecting our country.

Beware, for there is some language and adult content in this book, but I am highlighting it because it’s not distasteful and is used within the realm of the world he’s in. I definitely recommend that you pick up a copy! You can click on the picture above to see more of what’s inside.

Thanks, Hachette, for this great read in exchange for my thoughts. As always, this is my honest opinion. Here’s to many more!!

Buried Secrets

by Irene Hannon

In this first book of the Men of Valor series, we find ex Navy SEAL, Mac McGregor and small town police chief, Lisa Grant, coming together to try to find some answers. Mac has recently switched over to detective work and Lisa has left Chicago has a high profile forensic cop. As construction unearths something long buried, they must rush to get to the bottom of it before the scene grows cold again. Of course, a little falling in love is bound to happen…

This is the first book by Irene that I have read. While it seemed to drag in some parts, overall I really enjoyed it. The plot was interesting and held my attention. I felt like a lot of “scenes” were much longer than they needed to be, but some people really enjoy that and I am taking that into account. The characters were interesting and stayed true to their character as the story progressed. There were plenty of twists in the story and suspense throughout. A solid 4 stars.

Thanks so much, Revell, for this great read! As always, this is my honest opinion. Here’s to many more!!
