by Lori Copeland
Once again, Lori brings us a light, fun book. Anne-Marie is a high spirited girl that has been thrown in the path of a Crow Indian and a black man during the Civil War. The story takes place in Texas, so it is on the outskirts of the battles, not within the center of it.
Outrunning the law, stealing gold for the Union and trying to stay alive, this book will keep you reading. It’s an easy read. Nothing too deep, just an adventure where everything is wrapped up in pretty little bows by the end. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I like happy endings!
