Not by Sight

by Kate Breslin

This WWI era spy novel really surprised me! There were so many fun twists and turns. When a high society, suffragette, Grace, works on a farm to help out the soldiers, she is most surprised to find a man wearing a disconcerting, metal mask as the owner of the property. As she digs deeper, she realizes that they have met before…in the most terrible circumstances. She knows that he will never forgive her if he finds out who she is. Meanwhile, he is desperately seeking to uncover her identity and motives.

Lots of fun. Characters had great depth. I felt like the hero was a little bit hard to like, but it didn’t really take away from the story. God was central throughout and, historically, it was fun to see another side of WWI, instead of the soldiers at war. I definitely recommend!

Thank you, Bethany, for this great read! As always, this is my honest opinion. Here’s to many more!!
