When Anthony, the heir to the earldom, returns home from war, nothing is as it was. He was thought to be dead, leaving the estate without an heir. Now that he is home, and ALIVE, he must step up, take responsibility and find a wife so that there will never again be the chance of no heir to inherit. The ladies are quick to oblige and will not stop swooning over him. He takes refuge in the peace that surrounds his mother’s companion. Amelia lets him be himself and does not look down on him for the PTSD he is suffering from the horrors of war.
This is such a wonderful read! I love Regency novels, first and foremost. This is well written and the author has a decent knowledge of the time period. Of course, a lot of the language is more modern, but the heart of the story is there. It’s well written, holds my attention and makes me love the characters. I highly recommend!
