by Heidi Bond with Jenna Glatzer
What a beautiful story! Heidi, had never learned anything about nutrition and exercise so, they just ate whatever they wanted whenever they wanted. Her daughter, Breanna, was in 3rd grade and already hitting 180+lbs. Heidi tried everything she could think of and prayed, prayed, prayed. Through a lot of research, common sense and answered prayer, Breanna has lost all of her excess weight and even made the Junior Olympics in swimming!!
This is an incredible journey that will keep you turning the pages. There are so many great side notes on nutrition, labels, exercising ideas and much more. It even includes a 40-Day Meal and Exercise Plan. Heidi’s brutal honesty is so refreshing.
I know that a lot of people have their opinions on how she gained so much weight, how her mom handled it and everything else. However, I think that we, as mothers, need to be more supportive of each other instead of making it a competition. We can’t possibly know what is best for her family when we aren’t part of it. It’s unreasonable to think that you have better answers. So, please just encourage each other and pray for each other. Heidi and Breanna are beautiful pictures of listening to God and watching Him get the glory.
Thank you, Litfuse, for this wonderful book! As always, this is my honest opinion. Here’s to many more!!
